Isaac the impala

Learning To Trust God's Promises

Meet Isaac, a lively young impala who loves bounding across the beautiful African savanna! But when the rains fail and the grass begins to disappear, Isaac grows worried. Hearing of greener pastures elsewhere, he decides to take matters into his own hooves, setting off on an adventure that leads him into unexpected danger. Through Isaac's experience and the true biblical account of Isaac in Genesis 26, children discover an important lesson about trusting God, listening to wise instruction, and remembering that God's promises remain faithful, even when we cannot see what lies ahead.

What Children Will Learn

Sometimes the right path isn't the one that looks easiest or most appealing. Through Isaac's adventure, children learn that trusting God means believing His Word even when they don't understand His plans. They'll discover why listening to loving parents and wise guidance matters, how worry can tempt us to take matters into our own hands, and why God's wisdom is greater than our own. A gentle, faith-building reminder that we can trust God's promises because He always knows what lies ahead.

Biblical Lesson & Theme

Trusting God's promises, even when we cannot see or understand His plan.Based on Genesis 26, this story introduces children to the biblical Isaac, who faced a famine and was instructed by God not to travel to Egypt. Instead, Isaac obeyed God's direction and remained where the Lord had told him to stay. Despite the difficult circumstances, God blessed Isaac abundantly, just as He had promised.Through this account, children learn that faith is not simply trusting what we can see, but trusting the character and promises of the One who sees everything. God's Word is trustworthy, His wisdom is perfect, and His promises never fail.Key Scripture: Proverbs 3:5–6
